Jeffrey Paul Clark, 58, of Burlington, Vermont, and North Falmouth, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026. He was born to Maryellen (Lally) Clark and the late Paul W. Clark and was raised in a close-knit family where hard work, loyalty, and love were part of daily life on Harbey Road and at Clark’s Gulf Gas Station. That upbringing shaped Jeff into the devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend so many were lucky to know.
Above all, Jeff was devoted to his family. He shared 31 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Michelle (Roche), whom he met at Saint Michael’s College, and together they raised their children, Madeleine, Owen, and Sean.
Jeff graduated from West Springfield High School in 1984 before attending Saint Michael’s College, where he earned a degree in 1989. He later returned to earn his MBA in 2004 while working at Dwight Asset Management in Burlington, Vermont, a testament to his dedication and lifelong love of learning. Saint Michael’s College remained a meaningful part of Jeff’s life, from the lifelong friendships formed there to the pride he took in seeing his son Owen follow in his footsteps.
Jeff was deeply connected to his community. As a financial advisor at Edward Jones, he took genuine joy in helping others plan for the future, sharing his enthusiasm for compounding interest, index funds, and thoughtful retirement planning. Outside of work, he stayed active in local life through the Burlington NPA, gave generously as a super blood donor, and volunteered as a Parks and Recreation soccer coach, inspiring his son, Sean, to coach at Burlington High School.
In every role, Jeff showed up with steady encouragement, practical wisdom, and a deep commitment to others. Nowhere was that more evident than in the pride he took in his children, whose achievements he celebrated with unwavering love and enthusiasm.
Jeff was happiest on the slopes of Mt. Ellen or afterward enjoying après-ski and taking in a live set over a Sip of Sunshine. He was known to arrive at the mountain just before noon and still make the most of the day, staying out for Northridge Express laps until the last chair. Jeff’s passion for skiing was only surpassed by his love for his friends and family, and the joy he found in sharing the mountain with them.
Summers on the Cape held a special place in Jeff’s heart. New Silver Beach became a gathering place for family, where days were spent jumping off the jetty, ferrying kids out to the raft, and enjoying meals at favorite local restaurants. More than anything, Jeff treasured the memories made there.
Jeff was predeceased by his father, Paul Clark, in 2024. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; his children, Madeleine (William) Beardsley of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Owen Clark (Vivian Murphy) of Dorchester, Massachusetts, and Sean Clark of Burlington, Vermont; his mother, Maryellen Clark; his siblings, Kelly Clark of West Springfield, Massachusetts, Brian (Dawn) Clark of Newport, Rhode Island, and Melissa (Michael) Herard of Matthews, North Carolina; his brother-in-law, Gregory (Diane) Roche of Methuen, Massachusetts; and his many beloved nieces.
The family wants to share their endless gratitude to Jeff’s team at Dana-Farber and Mass General Brigham in Boston, who supported him throughout the last year and a half during his hard-fought battle with Leiomyosarcoma. The skill and care of surgeons Drs. Elizabeth Lilley and Nicholas Swerdlow gave Jeff the opportunity to celebrate Maddie and Will’s wedding with family and friends in July. The family also wishes to express their deep gratitude to the many friends and family members who surrounded them with love and kindness during this time. From Jeff’s favorite baked goods and meals dropped off at the door, to thoughtful messages and prayers lifted on their behalf, every gesture has been treasured. Your love and support have carried this family more than you will ever know.
