Larry Dane Rabideau, of Ticonderoga, passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 73.

Born on May 30, 1953, in Ticonderoga, Larry grew up in Crown Point, New York.

He was a graduate of Crown Point High School and St. Michael’s College of Colchester, Vermont.

He was employed by Aubuchon’s Hardware for many years, serving in Whitehall, Ticonderoga, and Port Henry, and he took great pride in his work. He was especially respected as the Manager of the Whitehall store. In addition to his work in hardware, Larry also spent many years as a bartender in the Ticonderoga area, serving patrons at various establishments including Tucker’s Bar and The Colonial. Through both of these careers, he became a familiar and well-loved face in the community.

Music was one of Larry’s lifelong passions, and he was a talented musician from an early age. He found great joy in playing the drums and shared his gift with others as a member of several bands over the years, including Penetrators and Rock Slide.

Larry is survived by his son, Larry Dane Rabideau, Jr. (Danielle Bush), and by his daughter, Jodi Connors (Bill Valek). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Addison Rabideau, Bailey Rabideau, Braelynn Rabideau, Alex Connors, Makisha Moses, Jaimie Connors, Carter Thatcher, and Carli Thatcher, as well as eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. He leaves behind his brothers, Dan Rabideau and Tyrone Rabideau, along with several nieces and nephews; and his best friends, Brent Vosburg and Floyd Tucker.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, JoAnn Rabideau, on January 10, 2021, and by his son, Jamie Trombley, on December 8, 2014.
