Laura Maloney Jones ’86

Laura Maloney Jones, Farmington, NH, died May 26, 2024.

A graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Dover, NH, before coming to Saint Michael’s, she worked soon after college as an assistant manager at So-Fro Fabrics in Mansfield, CT, while her husband was an Air Force flight mechanic in the Air Force before he co-owned P&M Equipment in Vernon, CT.

Later including in the 1990s according to an alumni survey, she and her husband owned and operated a business called Chiminey Cricket in Coventry, CT.

Laura was a theater enthusiast for much of her life, often working behind the scenes, and a memorial fund has been established in her name to start the “Mama Jones Costume Shop” as a remembrance of her love of theater and costuming.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Jones, a daughter, her mother and extended family.
