Peter J. Legere ’67

Peter J. Legere, Kelleys Island, OH, died January 5, 2024.

P.J. grew up in Arlington, MA, where he attended Matignon High School. After Saint Michael’s he earned a doctorate degree from St. Louis University. He taught at St. Louis Community College/Meramec before joining Roadway Express in Akron, OH, and Liquid Transport Corporation in Indianapolis.

For almost 30 years, Pete and his wife, Gerry, were residents of Kelleys Island, OH. Pete was a past president of the KI Landowners Association (KILA) and the Kelleys island school board. He was a library volunteer and member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Pete’s passions included gardening, basketball, handy work, the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Celtics and most of all, his family.

He is survived by his wife, Gerry, three daughters and extended family.
