Peter Manis ’63
Peter Manis, Haverhill, MA, died June 18.
Peter was born in Haverhill and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School there. After Saint Michael’s, Peter graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School for Orthodontics in 1969.
He went on to serve in the Army from 1966 to 1968, then returned to Haverhill where he practiced orthodontics for 46 years. Peter was a brilliant man of many talents; he was always busy, a talented carpenter and builder, with a passion for cars, trucks and golf. He enjoyed teaching at Tufts University and served on Haverhill City Council. Peter was dedicated to his family, a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He was a Founders Club supporter of the College.
Peter is survived by his wife, Karen (P’07), two sons including Clark Manis ’07, a daughter, a sister and extended family.
