William Gothers ’62

WILLIAM GOTHERS, East Granby, CT, died July 26, 2023. After Saint Michael’s, the Connecticut native received his master’s in business management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Bill was a systems analyst for Travelers Insurance for many years prior to his retirement. He was active in his Catholic parishes through his life, including as an altar server and usher, and belonged to the K of C. He was very active in the Travelers’ Men’s Club and served as its president. He also served as president of the East Granby Little League for many years while rooting for and coaching his sons in their games. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, gardening and following the Red Sox, UCONN Huskies and Notre Dame sports. He and his wife spent many years traveling throughout the U.S. as well as taking several cruises. He and his family spent many years at Point O’Woods Beach in South Lyme, CT, enjoying the warm summer months. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice, three sons and extended family.
