Current job title and employer and briefly describe what it is you do: Director, Clinical Supply Chain at Moderna I perform demand forecasting and logistics activities for clinical trial drugs/therapies for clinical trials sponsored by Moderna. I frequently interact with Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Trade Compliance, Legal and Finance groups to ensure an uninterrupted supply of medication to patients enrolled in our clinical trials.

Academic experience at Saint Michael's College help prepare you for your career: I feel so grateful to have received a liberal arts education, which is truly an education of the whole person. Saint Michael's prepared me well with respect to communicating effectively, being able to think critically and view topics from more than just one perspective and instilled a sense of curiosity and love of learning that has remained with me since graduating. I used my Spanish major to pursue a career in supply chain, a discipline within the field of international business.

Favorite memory or class from your time studying at St. Mike’s: There are too many to list! My Sophomore year I had the opportunity to travel to El Salvador during Spring Break with 4 other classmates and work at an orphanage and nursing home. The experience truly opened my eyes to a country that had many vulnerabilities but was abundant in faith and spirit. I spent both semesters of my Junior year abroad in Salamanca Spain, which, for me, was a defining period of my life. I remain close friends with Spaniards and other Europeans I met during my time there and continue to remember my experience quite often. Lastly, my Senior year I took a class with Professor Carolyn Lukens-Olson on the life and work of Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca. Professor Lukens-Olson was able to bring El Duende to life in that class, undoubtedly the best course I took during my time at Saint Michael's.

Completed or are completing a graduate program, please provide the name of the degree and institution: I completed an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Assumption University in 2011.

Translated your volunteer experience at Saint Michael’s into giving back to your community after graduation: I've remained very active within the Saint Michael's alumni community, having served on the Alumni Board Directors as a past President, and served on a 2 year term on the College's Board of Trustees.

Other information you would like to share or advice for incoming or current students: Please don't feel lost or that you are only destined for a certain set of career paths as a language major. I promise your liberal arts education will serve you well in both the immediate future and long term; just lean in to your confidence and sell your future employers on the skills in which you can bring to the table. Lastly, please make good use of the Saint Michael's alumni network (myself included!) and realize the network multiplies with the network of alumni members as well. I may not be working in a field you are interested in but may know someone who knows someone doing something you ultimately want to do.
