Current job title and employer and briefly describe what it is you do: I work as Independent Support Staff. I work with two adults who are non-verbal and have severe Autism. I take them into the community to provide them opportunities for relaxation and recreation. I support them in their household as they complete everyday tasks. I also work as an Extended Day Program Teacher for Changing Behaviors Inc. I teach a Reading Comprehension Class to Elementary school students with Autism. This class is completely virtual.

Academic experience at Saint Michael's College help prepare you for your career: My courses in the Education department helped prepare me with tools and resources I use everyday to engage my participants. My classes with Professor Bang-Jensen especially helped me develop the confidence I need to have a “teacher presence”. The creativity and engagement level she brings out in her classes is something I strive for.

Favorite memory or class from your time studying at St. Mike’s: My favorite memory was from my class “The Study of Sustainable Places” through the Environmental Studies program. We went to Wales in May of 2019, after my graduation date, and I made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Translated your volunteer experience at Saint Michael’s into giving back to your community after graduation: Every experience I had with M.O.V.E helped me solidify that I want to help people for a career.
