What involvement did/do you have with MOVE? What program did/do you volunteer with and/or lead? What years?
Volunteered with Correctional Volleyball (2011-2013), Service Trip (Spring Break 2013), Senior Citizen Games (2011-2015), Blood Drives (2011-2015).

    What’s your MOVE story?
I did a lot of volunteering in high school, and MOVE gave me a great opportunity to continue volunteering. When volunteering or just going to the MOVE office to talk with Heidi, Kate or Erin, it helped me to learn more about myself and really get through college with great people around to support me.

In what ways did/does MOVE impact you?
Right out of college I started working in a non-profit that helped people facing homelessness. Volunteering at MOVE throughout college inspired me to continue in that line of work. Through that job I led a group of 6th graders once a week for volunteering and helped them see the value of volunteering. In addition to the 6th graders I led numerous others for volunteer work of sorting food and clothing donations that would go directly to our clients.

If you are an alumni, what influence does MOVE continue to have on your life today?
When I volunteer it’s a good reminder of volunteering at MOVE. Doing the different jobs at volunteer sites helps give perspective to the little changes I can make in someone’s life.
