Students write thank-you notes to Alumni

The week of March 19 was Alumni Appreciation week at Saint Michael’s College! As our students returned to campus from spring break, we celebrated those that passed through here before them. Throughout the week, current students learned about the different ways that Alumni give their time, talent, and generosity to support the SMC community, and how far reaching their impact is.

Several events took place this week to commemorate SMC alumni. Over 300 purple bows were placed on gift plaques around campus to highlight Alumni donations, creating a visual display of how widespread our Alumni influence is. Additionally, we successfully celebrated the fifth annual Purple and Gold day on Thursday, March 22. Students, faculty, and staff wore their St. Mike’s gear and wrote Thank You notes to the alumni donors that have had such a positive influence on our campus. Off campus, alumni also wore their SMC Gear, and posted photos to social media to show off their St. Mike’s pride! Over 20 alumni socials also take place in several cities across the country, including Denver, Chicago, Boston and San Francisco. Former students gathered to reconnect with their SMC peers, and celebrate their St. Mike’s experiences.

The St. Mike’s community could not continue to thrive without the incredible influence of our alumni. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts, and hope that they have felt the appreciation this week!
