Chemistry Seminar Projects

To fulfill the requirements for graduation in Chemistry students develop research proposals, projects that are modeled after the process whereby scientists procure funding for research. They then defend them before faculty and students. Recent senior projects include:

  • Effects of Epigallocatechin Gallate Injections on Cholesterol in the Serum of Mice
  • A Novel Mechanism for Fast-Response Reversible Photorheology in Reverse Micelles
  • The Mechanochromic Luminescence of Gold(I) Isocyanide Complexes with Crown Ether Ligands
  • Hydrogen Production: Improving organometallic catalysts for the electrolysis of water
  • An Approach to Quantify Natural Abundances of Dopamine to Assist in Diagnosing ADHD
  • Two-Photon Photoemission Spectroscopy (2PPE) for Probing Toluene on Cu (111)
