Sample Pathway

Emery is a climbing instructor for the Saint Michael’s College Adventure Sports Center and a Biology major. While Emery doesn’t foresee working full-time in adventure sport the plan is to work as a climbing guide after graduation. Emery could choose the following pathway.

• American Mountain Guide Association Single Pitch Instructor/SOLO Wilderness First Responder
• SMC Course Work: ED 220 The Sports Coach as Educator.
• UPE Core Course: Professional Endorsement Portfolio and Practicum.

Peyton is a Varsity Swimmer at Saint Michael’s College and a Chemistry major. Peyton wants to stay connected to competitive swimming by coaching for a local club after graduation. Peyton could choose the following pathway.
