We are invested in seeing college students in Vermont succeed

Saint Michael’s College shares a commitment to responsible stewardship of the planet and will make the transfer process seamless for Sterling College students.

What you’ll get – a robust environmental program through the Leahy Institute for the Environment

Our programs foster a deep connection with land stewardship practices, philosophies, and experiences, utilizing experiential learning theory and place-based learning. Students engage with four outdoor and living classrooms including The Farm, the 360-acre Natural Area, eco-restoration sites around campus, and the Champlain Watershed. St. Mike’s offers majors in both Environmental Science and Environmental Studies as well as a minor in Environmental Studies.

Students train in 5 fields of practice:

  • Ecological Restoration
  • Environmental Education
  • Sustainability
  • Environmental Analysis
  • Farm & Food Systems

Strong career readiness training, experience, and outcomes
