As an instructor, I encourage students to reflect on their own growth and development as people and as professionals, and I strive to engage them cognitively and affectively in the learning process. I hope to expand students’ range of possibilities as they consider their own futures and the potential contributions they can make in the world.

My research program reflects some of the central elements of my professional psychology identity; namely, prevention, resilience, diversity, and ethical practice. Throughout my years as a faculty member, I have prioritized including students as collaborators in my writing projects.
