This summer, 15 students from Saint Michael’s College will complete an eight-week internship in either Seoul, South Korea, or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – an experience supported by an annual grant from the Freeman Foundation.

St. Mike’s is one of only 33 colleges or universities in the U.S. that receives this competitive grant annually.

Jeffrey Ayres, Director of the Institute for Global Engagement and Professor of Political Science and International Relations, said that the Freeman Foundation works to build intercultural understanding between Asia and the U.S. His hope is that these internships demonstrate St. Mike’s dedication to promoting global engagement.

“It’s considered a real flagship program for the college,” Ayres has said. “My dream is that more prospective students look to Saint Michael’s as an institution that provides global experiences.”

Below is the list of St. Mike’s students who will be representing St. Mike’s abroad this summer through the Global Citizenship International Internship Program, along with their respective majors.
