Come learn how to use our vinyl cutter to design and cut your own stickers/decals. Decals can be used to customize anything from clothing, technology, glassware, etc., or can be used on their own as stickers. Join any time, and stay for as little or as long as you'd like!

Drop in anytime between 2PM and 6PM on Tuesday, April 26th to decorate your graduation cap! With tools like our laser cutter and vinyl cutter and various craft supplies on hand, you can take your design to the next level. MakerSpace staff will be available to help you with the process!

learn the basics of sewing and get a chance to make something yourself! Staff will be available to help you carry out your own sewing project. We have a variety of fabrics and sewing materials available for the campus community to use. Join during any part of this workshop and stay for as little or as long as you'd like.

Learn the fundamentals of 3D printing and how to use our MakerBot printers for your own project(s). We can help you design something from scratch or choose from thousands of existing designs on Thingiverse and print it here. Join during any part of this open work session! For those interested in joining remotely, please email makerspace@smcvt.edu for a zoom link.

Make your own laser-cut/engraved art in this workshop! MakerSpace staff will assist you create a design in adobe illustrator and will teach how to laser cut/engrave your design on the laser cutter! Materials and training provided!

Join students Colleen Biglin '22 and Marcus Mallows '23 in this upcycled flower pots workshop on Thursday, April 28th! Just bring your own can(s). Macrame supplies, paints, soil, seeds, etc. are provided.

Those participating in admitted student VIP days will have the opportunity to come to the MakerSpace and learn how to use our vinyl cutter to design and cut their own stickers/decals. If you're a current student, come introduce yourself, welcome them to our beautiful campus, and share some of your love for SMC with them!!

Join our students Colleen and Logan in this fun DIY event at the SMC MakerSpace. Come design your own t-shirt for p-day! We have t-shirts, iron-on vinyl, tie dye, fabric markers, paint, and more! Tie dying t-shirts will be first come, first serve until t-shirts run out.

The Introduction to Engineering course here at SMC will be joining the MakerSpace this Tuesday, May 3rd to experiment with reverse engineering. From 3:30PM to 5PM on this day, we will be closed to other projects as we will be at max capacity.
