Residential Area Descriptions
Aubin Hall (Quad Commons)
Aubin Hall is a coeducational residence hall of approximately 105 students of upperclass students. There are some single rooms with private bathrooms as well as suites of four single bedrooms with two bathrooms.
Lyons Hall is a coeducational residence hall of approximately 200 first-year students. Most rooms are doubles with a limited number of singles.
Alumni Hall is a coeducational residence hall of approximately 200 first years, sophomores, and juniors. Most rooms are doubles with a limited number of singles.
Cashman, Canterbury, and Pontigny Halls
Each of these residence halls provide suite-style living for 124 first year, sophomore, junior, and senior students. The GREAT Housing and Honors Housing programs exist in Canterbury Hall. The GEAR Housing program exists in Cashman Hall. Each suite consists of a common space which also includes a refrigerator and microwave, 4 or 8 single bedrooms, and 1 (4 person suite) or 2 (8 person suite) bathrooms. Students living in the suites in these buildings have access to a community kitchen located on each floor. These living areas offer a wide variety of common areas used for studying, programs and other student uses.
Boutin Commons (100s), 200s, 300s, 400s, and Hodson Hall
The Apartments and Townhouses located in the 200s, 300s, 400s, and Hodson are primarily occupied by seniors. However, some juniors also live there too. The apartments within the 200s, 300s, and Hodson Hall consist of a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and 4 single bedrooms. Additionally, there are several 6 person townhouses in the 200s and 300s which consist of a kitchen, a living room, 2 bathrooms, 4 single bedrooms and 1 double bedroom. Apartments located in the 400s have a kitchen, a living room, 2 bathrooms, and 5 single bedrooms. Townhouses located in Boutin Commons (100s) are utilized primarily for graduate students and College employees, although some undergraduate students do live in this area. These townhouses consist of either double bedrooms or single bedrooms and include a kitchen, bathroom, and a living room.
Our newest housing location is an apartment-style residence hall located north of Canterbury Hall. Cronogue Hall opened in Fall 2016 and makes use of the latest developments in “green” buildings and is expected to be entirely carbon neutral. Cronogue Hall is comprised of juniors and seniors living in 4 person apartments with 4 single bedrooms, a kitchen, 1 1/2 bathrooms, and a living room.
