Freeman Foundation International Internship

Update on Summer 2021 International Academic Internships

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the planned in-person academic internships in Singapore for summer 2021, supported by a grant from the Freeman Foundation, were cancelled. As an alternative, twelve Saint Michael’s students have been selected to participate in virtual international internship placements in Vietnam this June and July 2021. Working with TEAN—The Education Abroad Network—and funded by a grant from The A. Francis Politi Fund—these twelve students will be gaining real-world, international work experience remotely working with businesses and non-profit organizations in Vietnam.

Scholarships for Summer 2021 Academic Internships in Singapore

Saint Michael’s College is pleased to announce the fourth annual competition of the Global Citizenship Internship Program, supported by a grant from Freeman Foundation. The College is now accepting applications for scholarships to fund an academic internship for eight weeks in Singapore, May 30 – July 24, 2021. These scholarships will help offset the cost of internship placement, professional development support, travel, and housing in Singapore. In addition to the time spent at the internship site, students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of cultural and networking events organized by our local partners in Singapore. This international placement will count for a four-credit academic internship, which will include the completion of academic assignments submitted to the faculty supervisor, and Saint Michael’s will waive the summer tuition for a four-credit course.
