Getting Started

Veterans Applying To Saint Michael's

Saint Michael’s recognizes that Veterans and current members of the military are not traditional 18 year old college students. We strive to make your transition smooth and hassle free, and we want to honor your service by acknowledging that each veteran’s situation is unique. To discuss the student veteran experience, contact Kenneth O’Connell at koconnell4@smcvt.edu or by phone at 802-654-2707.

If you are transitioning off of Active Duty, it is unlikely that your schedule will match up with the admissions deadlines that the college uses for students coming out of high school. The deadline to apply for the fall semester for Veterans is March 15th. However, the admissions office will review all applications after this date on a case by case basis until mid summer for the following fall semester.

Veterans Benefits, Fees & Tuition

Saint Michael’s College is dedicated to making education affordable for both Veterans and current service members. If you are eligible for the Post 9-11 G.I. Bill, your tuition and fees are covered entirely through the VA Yellow Ribbon Program. If you are receiving benefits under another chapter of the G.I. Bill or are using the DOD Tuition Assistance Program, we will assist you with applying for financial aid and scholarships to help bridge tuition gaps.
